Responsibilities

  • The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing and analyzing content that engages prospective students, current students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and community stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will help bring the Lander story to life through compelling content, strategic campaigns and audience-focused storytelling that supports enrollment, retention, advancement and brand awareness goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, journalism or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for multiple social media platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with social media management and analytics platforms.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to ethical communication practices.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of social media platforms, audience engagement, and content best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences.

Preferred

  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools, along with basic photography, videography, and short-form video editing skills.
  • Experience with social media analytics and performance reporting.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
