Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Strategy, Content & Engagement
  • • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with organizational goals and campaigns.
  • • Create, schedule, and publish original content across prioritized social media platforms while ensuring all company accounts remain current and aligned with brand standards
  • • Maintain and update social media content calendars and posting schedules
  • • Maintain and update monthly calendars of events to ensure all organizational programs, initiatives and events are accurately reflected across digital platforms and communications.
  • • Monitor engagement, respond to inquiries, and support community interaction across platforms.
  • • Ensure all content is mission-driven, brand aligned, and consistent across channels
  • • Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, stories, photos, and program highlights
  • • Manage and grow platform presence, including existing and emerging platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and emerging channels)
  • • Update and manage Linktree and related digital resources to reflect current campaigns, events, and organizational priorities

Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods and work occasional non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • This position involves some travel to different Bergen County locations as needed and requires a reliable method of transportation.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Health, Urban Studies, Social Work, or Nonprofit Management
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in community outreach and engagement; social media, digital marketing, or content creation
  • Portfolio or links required.
