Job Summary

Own brand strategy development and grounded insight to shape a Brand North Star with actionable narratives across identity, product, retail, and marketing.

  • Brand Strategy: Ground strategy in cultural, consumer, competitive inputs and clear foundations such as vision, positioning, and tone.
  • Insights & Stakeholders: Synthesize data from multiple sources and conduct stakeholder interviews to triangulate perspectives into a coherent plan.
  • Storytelling & Execution: Translate strategic intent into narratives and visuals in Figma and present clear recommendations to clients.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Play a central role in developing brand transformation strategies, from early diagnosis through to future-facing brand vision.
  • Analyze cultural, consumer, competitive, and company inputs to assess the current state of a brand and identify opportunity areas, and to ground brand strategy in insight and logic.
  • Help define brand foundations, including vision, purpose, positioning, value proposition, tone of voice, personality, brand muse and cultural pillars.
  • Capture, analyze, and interpret data and insights directly, partnering with Analysts where deeper analysis is required.
  • Work with multiple data sources and platforms to inform strategic thinking, while maintaining a platform-agnostic mindset.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand organizational realities and triangulate perspectives into a coherent strategic view.
  • Apply structured, logical thinking to complex brand challenges, ensuring recommendations are grounded and defensible.
  • Contribute to defining the Brand North Star—articulating how the brand strategy comes to life across identity, product, retail, commerce, and marketing.
  • Help translate strategic intent into inspiring narratives, visualizations, and future-state scenarios that guide execution.
  • Balance clarity and ambition, ensuring brand vision is both aspirational and actionable.
  • Build and own high-quality strategic decks, ensuring ideas are communicated in a clear, lean, and compelling way.
  • Work confidently in Figma to structure, design, and refine strategic outputs.
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations to clients, articulating complex thinking with confidence and clarity.
  • Partner closely with the Strategy Director, Brand to shape strategic direction and ensure excellence across deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Creative teams to ensure brand strategy meaningfully informs creative expression and execution, and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Production, and Client Services to ensure alignment from strategy through delivery.
Requirements
  • Data-savvy, with experience working across multiple insight platforms and sources (both established and emerging, including AI-led tools)
  • Based out of Los Angeles office; Monday – Thursday in the office, option Work-from-home Friday’s
  • Figma proficiency required
