Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a strategic marketing plan
  • Partner closely with the Head of US Wealth Marketing to create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Franklin Templeton’s wealth business, that is consistent with the priorities across strategic account and sales leadership.
  • Make independent marketing decisions, functioning as a dedicated marketing account manager for specific external client firms, tailoring approach and decisions based on alignment with their leader, distribution partners, and specific client needs.
  • Support the implementation of this strategy via defined engagement, including: content development, email campaigns, digital assets, web personalization, multi-media, events, sponsorships, digital advertising and social media.
  • Continually evaluate marketing strategy to determine efficacy and incorporate any ways to further evolve and improve throughout the year.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships across our partner firms’ marketing and sales organizations, uncovering opportunities to execute custom engagement strategies and joint campaigns.
  • Work in tandem with sales and strategic account colleagues to create the right messages and content, with ongoing connectivity as to how resources are being used, what needs to change and how we can continue to evolve.
  • Manage complex multi-firm partnerships, resolving conflicts and aligning goals strategically to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Franklin Templeton global and regional marketing and operations organization (particularly client marketing, integrated marketing, marketing operations, creative services, social media and compliance) to ensure effective coordination of marketing efforts.
  • Accountable for the success of assigned client marketing strategies, contributing to overall business growth through effective campaign management and content development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial services industry, preferably in sales or marketing
  • Demonstrated experience working across U.S. wealth management channels, including wirehouses, independent and regional broker-dealers, and RIAs.
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment products and economic concepts.
  • Series 7 and 63 preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Digital-first mindset with experience leveraging modern marketing channels and technologies
  • Strong collaborator who builds effective partnerships across teams and functions
  • Creative problem solver with a strategic perspective and strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
