Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own NSTA’s annual and quarterly marketing plan, establishing priorities and allocating resources based on organizational and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies across B2B and B2C audiences, with a primary focus on growing district services and business partnerships while supporting revenue-generating offerings for educators.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for key products, services, conferences, and partnerships, including audience definition, positioning, Key Messaging Documents (KMDs), channels, sales support, timelines, and success measures.
  • Partner with the Engagement & Advocacy team to maintain NSTA’s organization-wide marketing calendar, aligning campaigns, communications, resources, and timing across teams.
  • Lead campaign strategy and planning, defining target audiences, messaging, channels, cadence, creative needs, and measures of success.
  • Drive cross-functional marketing efforts across Business Development, product teams, Communications, Operations, and IT to ensure campaigns and initiatives are aligned and effectively executed.
  • Provide strategic direction to staff, contractors, and creative and execution partners responsible for bringing campaigns to market.
  • Partner with CRM Operations to strengthen segmentation, targeting, automation, nurturing, reporting, and lifecycle marketing, using performance data to optimize results.
  • Align marketing and Business Development efforts around lead generation and progression, sales enablement, account-based marketing, and outreach to priority districts, states, and business partners.
  • Build repeatable marketing processes, systems, and workflows that make NSTA’s marketing more coordinated, effective, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with a strong background in integrated marketing, demand generation, product marketing, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading integrated marketing and go-to-market strategies across multiple products, audiences, and channels.
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, lifecycle marketing, account-based marketing, lead and pipeline generation, positioning, and messaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance B2B and B2C priorities and focus marketing resources on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to build alignment and move work forward across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, with an understanding of how data, automation, segmentation, and reporting can inform marketing strategy and improve results.
  • Familiarity with Monday.com and experience using AI tools responsibly to improve marketing efficiency, workflows, and execution.
  • Experience in education, associations, professional learning, B2B marketing, or other mission-driven organizations is a plus.
