Own the brand strategy for a large retailer’s private portfolio, shaping architecture, cross-functional GTM roadmaps, and executive-ready narratives to drive awareness and attribution.

  • Brand Architecture & Portfolio Ownership: Own and evolve the private brand portfolio and its positioning across merchandising and marketing.
  • Go-to-Market Roadmaps: Build a comprehensive marketing roadmap that informs both marketing and merchandising GTM efforts.
  • Executive Communication & Cross-Functional Leadership: Create briefs and lead forums with senior leaders to align on direction and execution, driving continuous improvement.

Job Description

  • Lead the development of Kohl’s & proprietary brand strategies that align with customer needs, market trends and business objectives
  • Lead strategic forums bringing together senior leaders from merchandising, design and marketing to align on direction and execution for our proprietary brand portfolio
  • Own and evolve Kohl’s private brand portfolio architecture
  • Build a comprehensive private brand marketing roadmap that informs go-to-market strategies for both marketing and merchandising teams
  • Develop creative briefs that build a strong brand identity for Kohl’s and its brands, including distinctive brand assets that increase awareness and attribution
  • Create presentations for executive audiences that communicate brand strategy opportunities and recommendations
  • Independently drive initiatives and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Monitor brand performance and synthesize insights to inform continuous improvement
  • Stay current with competitive positioning efforts and understand shifts and white space opportunities
