Job Summary

Own lifecycle retention and growth for a subscription business by turning data and education-brand storytelling into targeted, automated journeys that optimize onboarding, activation, and long-term retention, while coordinating with the CRO to set a prioritized lifecycle roadmap.

Lifecycle ownership: define segmentation, personalization, and retention frameworks to improve onboarding, activation, and long-term retention.
Analytics-driven testing: build experiments across journeys, offers, and promotions to lift churn, win-back, and lifetime value.
Channel collaboration and governance: align with brand and agency partners to ensure cohesive lifecycle experiences and revenue outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Mastery of data related to our subscription business (e.g., retention rates by channel, cohort performance over time, lifetime value trending, etc.)
Support lifecycle marketing strategy across customer acquisition-to-retention journey, with primary focus on: Subscription growth
Churn reduction
Customer retention
Win-back/reactivation
LTV optimization
Repeat purchase acceleration
Help translate scientific education and brand storytelling into lifecycle strategies that improve customer understanding, trust, product adoption, and long-term retention.
Develop and continuously optimize customer segmentation, personalization, and retention frameworks
Partner closely with CRO to define lifecycle growth roadmap and strategic priorities

Requirements

6–7 years of lifecycle, retention, or CRM marketing experience
Expertise in email marketing, proficient in best practices. Experience in Klaviyo is a plus.
Experience required in Shopify/Shopify Analytics, Recharge and Fermat
Ability to plan and execute A/B tests on an ongoing basis
Proven success within high-growth DTC ecommerce businesses
Strong subscription business model expertise
Significant experience owning retention and LTV outcomes
Shopify ecosystem fluency
Experience managing agency/vendor relationships
Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
Experience in consumer health, nutraceuticals, beauty, wellness, or adjacent categories strongly preferred

Deep retention and subscription metric expertise
Planning and management of loyalty programs
Strong ecommerce merchandising and promotional strategy
Customer segmentation and personalization expertise
Experience with SMS marketing an asset
Website optimization and digital funnel management
Strong cross-functional leadership without requiring large internal teams
