Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Launch & Brand Strategy Development: Lead the commercial launch strategy for repinatrabit, ensuring successful brand positioning, HCP engagement, and market activation. Ensure alignment of all cross-functional plans to overall brand strategy.
  • Commercial Strategy: Define brand vision, strategic imperatives, and long-term commercial roadmap based on customer insights, market dynamics and competitive intelligence. Continuously refine strategy to maximize launch success and sustained brand growth.
  • Commercial Excellence & Launch Readiness : Lead enterprise launch readiness by establishing governance, aligning cross-functional workstreams, and ensuring organizational preparedness across people, processes, systems, and customer engagement. Proactively identify risks and remove barriers to deliver a successful launch.
  • HCP Marketing Leadership: Develop and oversee HCP engagement strategies, including non-personal promotion (NPP), speaker programs, congresses, and KOL partnerships.
  • Consumer Marketing & Awareness: Drive consumer engagement initiatives, ensuring effective education and activation efforts that align with market needs and patient journeys.
  • Omnichannel & Digital Strategy: Lead omnichannel marketing efforts and personalized engagement content, including but not limited to decision engine and orchestration, integrating digital, personal, and non-personal promotional approaches to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Market Insights & Competitive Analysis: Establish customer segmentation, targeting, and engagement strategies informed by market research, analytics, and field insights. Translate customer needs into actionable marketing strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and positively impact brand performance.
  • People and Organization: Build on a collaborative environment that is conducive to intentional development, success and supports individuals as well as teams to achieve their full potential and maximize their contribution to deliver the Otsuka mission. Develop organizational capabilities to support successful launch and long-term growth. Provide coaching and access to mentoring and developmental mechanisms to build confidence and courage. Attract, manage, coach, develop and retain a talented Marketing team to effectively achieve the mission and stated objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial compliance and all laws and regulations that govern promotional and non-promotional activities.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience/knowledge of Rare Disease brand launch, PKU/ inborne errors of metabolism.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence highly matrixed cross-functional teams, driving alignment and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Proven experience leading a pharmaceutical product launch, preferably in rare disease
  • Experience in both HCP and consumer marketing, with the ability to develop integrated brand strategies
  • Experience in market access, sales, and/or commercial operations highly preferred
  • Omnichannel marketing expertise, including digital engagement, NPP, and field force integration
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering across market access, medical affairs, and sales teams
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and ROI analysis
