Role Description

Design At Work is seeking a Senior Copywriter with strong writing and problem-solving skills to join our Houston office. The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content that aligns with clients' branding and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, proactive, invested in client success, and able to thoughtfully communicate initiatives and ideas to clients.

This is a full-time hybrid role with two days (Monday & Friday) remote and three days (Tuesday – Thursday) in office after 90 days. Applicants must be based in Houston, Texas, for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide copywriting for all client marketing materials including, but not limited to: branding campaigns, brochures, sales collateral, websites, print and digital ads, email marketing, blogs and social media
• Develop campaign concepts through brand messaging, create strong, well-written content and adhere to brand messaging standards
• Actively contribute to brainstorms, internal meetings and client presentations
• Serve as one of the day-to-day points of contact for clients
• Manage simultaneous short- and long-term projects for multiple accounts, ensuring consistency with brand voice and meeting deadlines
• Work closely with an Account Director to produce high-quality, consistent materials that meet each account’s unique needs

Experience, Education & Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience in copywriting/communications; agency experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Experience working on a variety of deliverables (portfolio/writing samples required)
• Strong attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Outgoing, positive and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Client-facing experience or account management preferred
