Responsibilities

• Lead the visual direction for projects across the studio, establishing the overall look, feel, and creative approach based on brand strategy, audience insight, and business objectives
• Translate creative briefs into cohesive visual platforms, including typography, color systems, imagery, motion direction, layout principles, and design mechanics
• Execute hands-on design work, including development of lead assets, visual systems, and templates that set the standard for broader team execution
• Art direct and mentor designers, illustrators, photographers, re-touchers, motion partners, and other production collaborators to ensure high-quality output
• Provide clear, constructive, and actionable creative feedback that strengthens the quality and consistency of work across the team
• Build and maintain brand identity systems, design guidelines, asset libraries, and other foundational tools that support scalable execution over time
• Partner closely with the Creative Director and senior creative leadership to shape creative solutions, contribute to strategic discussions, and ensure strong craft standards throughout the process
• Design for merchandising and retail storytelling across touchpoints such as packaging, hangtags, shelves, windows, product detail pages, banners, and email
• Create e-commerce and digital creative that supports both brand expression and conversion goals, including PDPs, category pages, landing pages, email systems, paid social assets, and lifecycle campaigns
• Present creative work to internal stakeholders and clients with confidence, articulating the rationale behind design choices and connecting recommendations to brand, strategy, and business goals

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in agency, in-house, or studio environments, with a background in design and progressive growth into art direction
• Demonstrated experience developing creative for merchandising and product-driven brands, including collection launches, seasonal campaigns, retail programs, and packaging-to-shelf systems
• Strong experience designing for e-commerce, including product detail pages, category pages, landing pages, email programs, paid social, and lifecycle creative
• Portfolio showcasing a strong point of view and breadth across brand systems, campaigns, packaging, e-commerce, editorial, and environmental design
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Working knowledge of motion-adjacent tools and creative workflows; After Effects experience is a plus
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or similar platforms, with an understanding of how design translates into storefront execution
• Strong typographic, compositional, and visual storytelling skills
• Ability to think strategically while executing at a high level of craft and detail
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain and defend creative decisions effectively

• Preferred Qualifications: - Bilingual in English and Spanish - Experience working across premium and mass-market e-commerce environments - Experience developing scalable design systems and brand guidelines for long-term marketing use
