Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for public relations on a district-wide basis or in the central office for part of an agency-wide program, including communications and public awareness programs for fundraising, public/media relations, design and distribution of publications, promotion of services or programs to other public and private sector groups and media representatives. May deliver presentations or speak on behalf of the work unit. Responds to media inquiries or promotes programs. Work is carried out independently, with management being informed of potentially sensitive activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in public relations and marketing, with work experience in broadcast media, print media, commercial art, or compatible field; proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of professional design and communications
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing; maintain confidentiality when appropriate
  • Must be able to work with multiple priorities
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret goals, objectives, policies, and procedures

Preferred

  • Experience in Public Health is preferred.
