Job Description

Responsibilities

  • C-Suite Media Preparedness: Develop and lead comprehensive media training programs for our C-Level executives, ensuring leadership is prepared for high-stakes interviews, keynote addresses, and investor pitches.
  • Media Relationship Management: Leverage an existing "book" of deep PR contacts across tech, business, and consumer lifestyle media to secure early interest and long-term narrative placement.
  • Community Growth Strategy: Develop and implement PR plans specifically designed to grow and nurture our community forum, ensuring it remains a destination for authentic discourse.
  • Narrative Building: Support the executive team in defining our "Trust-First" brand philosophy and translating complex marketplace dynamics into compelling stories.
  • Editorial Operations: Write and coordinate the approval process for press releases, blogs, and bylined articles; manage the content pipeline to showcase our technical innovation.
  • Event Management: Manage all logistical details for pre-launch activities, including announcement pre-briefs and media tours.
  • Tracking & Insights: Analyze media coverage and sentiment to "see around corners" and shape reactive and proactive strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Public Relations or Corporate Communications, ideally within the technology or e-commerce sectors.
  • Executive Presence: Proven experience in coaching and training C-Level executives for media appearances.
  • Established Network: A robust, active "book" of media contacts at major business and tech publications (e.g., TechCrunch, WSJ, The Verge, Bloomberg).
  • Startup DNA: Proven ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, ambiguous environment with a growth mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience building and managing internal or external communities of practice.
  • Experience in technology communications related to community platforms or marketplace trust and safety.
