Lead PR work for mid-size client accounts, owning day-to-day contact, writing content, and securing media coverage while mentoring others.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounts with confidence. You are comfortable serving as the day-to-day contact for several small to mid-size client accounts, managing client requests and expectations, and attending and leading client meetings.
  • Write with precision. You absorb new information with ease and can transcribe that knowledge into impactful press releases, bylined articles, blog posts, media responses, and social media posts.
  • Be a media relations rockstar. You have a hunger for results and consistently secure media coverage. You report results to clients with urgency and excitement.
  • Bring fresh ideas. You keep an eye on industry trends, are an avid consumer of the news and know how to spot opportunities. You can turn those opportunities into creative media pitches, social media concepts or articles and blog posts.
  • Serve as a mentor. You will play an active role in our Apprenticeship & Internship programs, reviewing resumes, taking part in interviews, and serving as a mentor for college students and recent graduates.
  • Be a team player. You collaborate seamlessly, can demonstrate success in supporting client needs and contribute to agency initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of public relations experience, with at least two years of experience at a PR agency
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proven media pitching success
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Comfort with client interactions and track record of delivering exceptional results for clients
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Experience in digital communications, including social media, influencer relations, and SEO a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
