Job Description

What Success Looks like

As a Product Specialist, your primary goal will be to build light fixtures adhering to our high standards of production, preparing them for shipment. In addition, assistance with inventory, quality control, shop maintenance, and other duties will be expected. During your first year, you will also rotate through adjacent departments such as Warehousing, Shipping and Powder Coating to learn useful skills that will help accelerate your career at RBW. We are looking for self-starters, who are proactive and enjoy seeing tasks through to completion. 

Responsibilities & Key Activities

  • Assemble products and sub-assemblies to accurately fulfill work orders
  • Conform to standard building operations to ensure high-quality products and sub-assemblies
  • Clearly and accurately package products with the customer in mind
  • Maintain a consistent production build time average across all product collections,  within an average deviation of 15% of the planned time
  • Actively encourage safe behavior, 5S housekeeping activities and engage in collaborative projects
  • Use the job instruction training method where applicable
  • Perform problem-solving and improvement of Kaizen activities
  • Demonstrate initiative in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of workplace and machinery
  • Contribute by being vocal of ideas and actively listening to others
  • Pick parts from inventory to prepare work orders for assembly
  • Inspect parts and assemblies as part of our quality control process
  • Support our internal powder coating operation by carrying out tasks including, but not limited to cleaning parts, hanging/racking, masking, and powder coating (Training provided)
  • Assist with shipping, inventory, and warehousing tasks

Skills, knowledge and expertise

  • Familiarity of working with hand tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to learn new skills and support other teams as needed
