Job Summary

Own the PMM motion for a developer-first product: build mid-funnel and sales enablement content, design AI-native content systems, and run fast, zero-qa launches with live positioning and competitive context.

  • Mid-funnel and sales enablement: create battlecards, scripts, briefs, and case studies for developer and enterprise buyers and measure impact in field.
  • Content engine: architect AI-native workflows and prompt libraries that keep messaging current and assets reusable among teams.
  • Product launches and positioning: run a lean launch process and maintain live positioning and competitive landscape with evidence for sales enablement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Mid-funnel and sales enablement
  • Build and maintain the content that moves deals: battlecards, objection guides, demo scripts, solution briefs, and case studies across both our developer and enterprise buyer tracks. Write with technical credibility, update in near real-time as the competitive landscape shifts, and measure whether what you produce changes outcomes in the field.
  • Content engine
  • Design the systems and workflows that turn messaging into repeatable output. Prompt libraries, launch templates, competitive intelligence workflows, editorial processes that let the whole marketing organization move faster and stay consistent. You are not just a writer who uses AI tools. You are an architect who builds AI-native workflows that other people depend on.
  • Product launches
  • Cline ships constantly, so you will help develop a lean, repeatable launch system that handles high cadence without losing quality. Not every feature gets a blog post. Part of the job is knowing which ones do.
  • Positioning and messaging
  • Define and maintain how Cline talks about itself, across both the individual developer ICP and the enterprise buyer. In a market where every competitor updates their positioning weekly, this is a live document and not a quarterly artifact.
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Own Cline's ongoing view of the competitive landscape: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, and whatever launches next month. Surface what matters, discard what doesn't, and make sure the sales team always has an accurate and credible picture of how Cline compares.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years in product marketing, with at least one role at a developer tools, open-source, or technical B2B company
  • Proven experience owning mid-funnel and sales enablement content, with evidence it influenced outcomes
  • Track record of building repeatable launch systems, not just running individual launches
  • Strong technical writing, with first drafts accurate enough that engineers rarely push back on the substance
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate marketing workflows, with examples of systems you have built and maintained
  • Excellent cross-functional instincts with product, sales, and DevRel
  • Bonus: background in software engineering or prior experience as a developer

Benefits

  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents. Includes a 401(k) plan.
