Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the Read on Tier 1 Accounts: Lead creative performance analysis for our most complex, highest-spend, or most strategically complex accounts. Anchor every read to the client’s business goals, with lower-funnel metrics (such as CAC, ROAS, CPA, and LTV) as the measure of success. Use upper-funnel and engagement metrics (such as thumbstop rate, hold rate, and CTR) to diagnose which variable(s) drove the result (hook, format, message, audience, moment, etc.). Separate creative effect from media effect, spot ad fatigue early, and judge the creative mix for diversification and journey-stage coverage.
  • Read More Than the Metrics: Go past the numbers to understand what in the asset itself drove the result. Assess the nuances of creative across formats (static, GIF, UGC, lofi video), fidelity (lofi, product-first, hi-fi), messaging angles, hooks, visual treatment, and creator or voice, and attribute success or failure to those specific elements rather than to the platform metric alone. Turn what you see in the asset into specific, testable guidance for the Studio and strategists.
  • Shape Process, Workflow, and Methodology: Act as a thought partner to the Manager and Senior Manager in designing and refining how the team operates, including hypothesis and test-plan formats, tagging and naming standards, the learning record, readout structures, and the handoffs between analyst, strategist, Studio, and channel teams. Pilot new approaches on real accounts, document what you learn, and turn what works into repeatable standards others can adopt.
  • Set the Quality Bar by Example: Produce work that is accurate, rigorous, and clear enough to serve as the team’s reference standard. Offer peer review, coaching, and feedback to analysts when asked or when you see an opportunity, without formal management responsibility.
  • Design and Defend Testing & Experimentation: Own the measurement and the creative read on complex tests, and contribute to testing frameworks and roadmaps. Apply sound practice on hypotheses, sample sizes, statistical significance, and incrementality so we know when a result is real, and explain clearly why a test won or lost.
  • Translate Insight into Action: Turn every read into clear, prioritized recommendations for media, strategy, and the Studio, including what to iterate on, what to retire, and what to test next. Be explicit about tradeoffs.
  • Lead Client Storytelling: Present, defend, and communicate the team’s work with professional maturity in weekly highlights, monthly insights, quarterly deep dives, and post-flight analyses. Handle challenge and pushback with evidence and composure, tailor the story to senior marketing and business audiences, and represent the function in pitches and strategic conversations when needed.
  • Build Creative Intelligence Infrastructure: Use an AI-enabled tool set to build and manage the dashboards, learning records, and cross-client libraries that make our learnings compound. Partner with Performance Media, channel teams, and Product on tagging, naming, and tooling, and surface tool gaps with a proposed fix. Check and edit all AI output before it reaches a client.
  • Benchmark Against the Market: Monitor industry-wide creative and media performance to separate account-specific results from broader market shifts, track competitor and cultural trends, and contribute to agency benchmarks. Flag when what you see should change our recommendations.
  • Own Your Work and Communicate Proactively: Manage your own priorities across accounts and projects. Give regular, unprompted updates on progress, risks, and blockers, and come with options and a recommended path.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7-10+ years in digital marketing, performance creative, paid social analytics, or creative strategy, preferably within an agency environment, with a track record of owning high-stakes client analysis.
  • Autonomy and Accountability: Proven ability to work independently on ambiguous problems, take direction well, and own your output from start to finish. You flag risks and blockers early and bring proposed solutions.
  • Process and Systems Thinking: Experience helping design or improve workflows, frameworks, and standards, and turning them into repeatable practice.
  • Exceptional Quality of Output: A sharp eye for gaps in logic, weak evidence, and unsupported conclusions, in your own work and in others’.
  • Platform Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of paid social and video platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) and Google, including YouTube. Familiarity with Amazon and marketplaces, Streaming and Linear TV, online video, and audio is a plus. Experience with analytics and visualization tools like Google Analytics, Motion, Bliss Point, Tableau, or Looker.
  • AI & Research Tool Proficiency: Experience using AI-assisted tools (such as Claude, Gemini, Waldo, and Motion) to accelerate insight identification, streamline data analysis, and conduct efficient consumer research, with the judgment to check and edit AI output before it reaches a client.
  • Analytical & Creative Mindset: The rigor of an analyst and a real understanding of the art of advertising.
  • Storytelling and Executive Presence: Proven experience presenting complex analysis to clients and senior stakeholders with maturity and composure, and adapting the message to different audiences.
  • Conviction: Willingness to defend a read or recommendation with evidence, including in front of clients, and to explain why a favorite asset did not work.
  • Highly Collaborative: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority across media, strategy, creative, and client teams in a remote environment.
