Job Summary

You will own the full cycle of social content for a podcast slate—from clip storytelling and motion graphics to performance optimization and insight-driven iteration.

  • Own content strategy and storytelling arc for clips
  • Track performance and feed insights into creative decisions

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce engaging social content for each show in the podcast slate — including video cut-downs of episodes, motion graphic promos, image assets, GIFs, stories/reels, caption copy, and platform-specific variants.
  • Collaborate with show producers and hosts to identify compelling moments in episodes that translate into short-form social pieces; craft the storytelling arc for each clip.
  • Optimize content for platform performance (length, format, captioning, hashtags, thumbnails, CTAs) and stay current with algorithm changes and emerging formats.
  • Track performance metrics (views, reach, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs to episode/subscribe) and feed insights back into creative strategy.
  • Maintain an archive of assets and templates, and iterate efficiency in production workflows (templates, automation, batching).

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating short-form video content (15 sec-3 min) and image/motion assets for podcasts or media brands on social platforms.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts; knowing which moments to spotlight that hook viewers, evoke emotion or insight, and prompt engagement or action.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and their nuances: Instagram (feed, stories, reels), TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn. You stay up-to-date on trends, emerging formats, algorithm behaviour.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt creative approach/tone to different show audiences and brand personalities (for example, a tech-business show vs. a culture-comedy show).
  • Solid skills in editing short-form video tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) and comfort with static image design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) and motion graphic templates.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/shows simultaneously, prioritize under tight deadlines, collaborate across teams.
  • Data-literate: you can interpret performance metrics and iterate accordingly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A portfolio or reel of past work showcasing short-form video, image/motion assets, and social campaign results.
  • Experience working in podcast media or editorial-driven media brands.
