  • Own social media strategy and daily presence
  • Align content with goals, measure impact, and adapt based on feedback

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own our social media strategy — Develop and execute a plan for growing AAIF's audience and engagement, with approaches tailored to LinkedIn, X, and other relevant channels. Set goals, test ideas, and use results to improve our approach
  • Manage our daily social presence — Own the editorial calendar, write and publish posts, and balance planned campaigns with emerging news and conversations. Maintain a consistent AAIF voice while adapting content to each platform
  • Amplify our open source projects and protocols — Follow project announcements, releases, tutorials, and community contributions, and accurately explain technical developments and relevance
  • Highlight our members and ambassadors — Proactively discover useful content from hundreds of organizations and creators. Build relationships that help surface stories, credit contributors, and give visibility to a broad range of voices across the community
  • Support our global events — Promote local events across 100+ AAIF communities, along with AAIF conferences and virtual events. Coordinate with organizers on announcements, registration campaigns, event coverage, and recaps
  • Extend the reach of AAIF content — Turn blog posts, case studies, podcasts, videos, and conference recordings into compelling social content. Identify excerpts, clips, and takeaways that give people a reason to engage with the full piece
  • Listen and participate — Monitor conversations about AAIF, our projects, and the broader agentic AI ecosystem. Spot emerging topics, questions, praise, and criticism early, and contribute useful replies while the conversation is active
  • Exercise editorial judgment — Prioritize a large volume of content based on audience value, timing, and AAIF's mission. Verify claims, preserve our neutral position across organizations and projects, and involve the right colleagues when a response needs technical expertise or sensitive handling
  • Measure and share what you're learning — Track audience growth, meaningful engagement, content traffic, and event registrations attributable to social activity. Bring community feedback and emerging themes back to the team along with recommendations for next steps

Requirements

  • Experience owning social media strategy and execution for a technology organization, developer audience, or open source community
  • Examples of audience growth and engagement, with a clear explanation of your decisions and results
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to make technical topics accessible without losing accuracy
  • A working understanding of AI and open source, plus the curiosity to keep learning about projects, protocols, and developer conversations
  • Experience with social listening and community engagement, including knowing when to respond, ask for help, or give a conversation space
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, with experience coordinating content across multiple contributors and competing deadlines
  • Comfort using publishing, listening, and analytics tools, and adapting content into formats such as carousels, graphics, and short video clips
  • Ability to work with a global community across cultures and time zones
