Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and advance the relutrigine patient strategy. Develop and execute insight-driven patient and caregiver marketing strategies across the disease and treatment journey, connecting patient needs to clear commercial objectives and measurable outcomes. Translate strategy into a prioritized marketing plan, with clear recommendations on audience focus, programs, and resource needs.
  • Build for launch. Lead patient marketing launch workstreams, including the development and execution of patient-facing launch campaigns, content, channels, and experiences, moving comfortably between strategy and execution. Establish milestones, manage dependencies, and address risks to ensure readiness and delivery of assigned launch priorities.
  • Start with the patient. Develop a deep understanding of patient and caregiver behaviors, barriers, motivations, and unmet needs through market research, analytics, field insights, and cross-functional partnership. Partner with research and analytics teams to shape learning priorities and close critical insight gaps. Turn those insights into strategic choices, program priorities, and actionable recommendations.
  • Design connected experiences. Lead the development of an integrated approach across the moments that matter—including disease education, branded communications, digital experiences, patient support, and emerging opportunities—rather than a collection of disconnected tactics. Align patient marketing programs with the broader brand strategy and partner across functions to ensure continuity across channels and touchpoints.
  • Measure what matters. Define and take accountability for success measures, use data and experimentation to understand what is working, and rapidly evolve strategy and execution based on what we learn. Communicate performance, translate findings into investment recommendations, and identify opportunities to optimize or expand successful programs.
  • Lead across boundaries. Lead patient marketing initiatives in close partnership with Patient Advocacy, Medical, Market Access, Sales, Analytics, Legal/Regulatory/Compliance, and other teams to create a cohesive patient experience. Build alignment, resolve competing priorities, and influence through clarity, credibility, and results rather than title. Provide direction and guidance to project teams and share best practices to strengthen execution.
  • Own the work. Set clear expectations for agency and external partners and oversee their performance; manage assigned budgets, timelines, and review processes with high standards for speed and quality. Forecast spending, assess resource needs, and recommend adjustments as priorities evolve. Identify problems early, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and drive solutions through completion.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success independently leading the development and execution of patient or consumer marketing strategies in biopharma, healthcare, or another highly regulated environment; launch experience with ownership of key marketing workstreams is strongly valued.
  • Deep understanding of the patient journey and the ability to turn patient insight into compelling strategy, experiences, and execution.
  • Strong strategic judgment and prioritization skills paired with a willingness to get into the details and personally move work forward.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing across channels from planning through execution and optimization, with a strong understanding of digital engagement and evolving consumer behaviors.
  • Fluency in using research, analytics, and performance data to make decisions, prioritize investments, test assumptions, and improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex work across functions in a fast-moving environment where influence matters more than hierarchy. Ability to align stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and guide project teams toward shared outcomes.
  • Experience managing agency relationships, budgets, and delivery against defined milestones, with accountability for quality, spending, and results.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex ideas simple, clear, and actionable. Confidence presenting recommendations, performance results, and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity. You ask the questions that need to be asked, make decisions with imperfect information and limited direction, and adapt quickly as the evidence changes.
  • High ownership and high standards. You follow through, surface risks early, give and receive candid feedback, and care deeply about both the quality of the work and the people doing it.

Preferred

  • CNS, specialty medicine, rare disease, or other high-unmet-need category experience is valuable, but curiosity, learning agility, and demonstrated impact matter more than checking every box.

Benefits

  • Thinking about the future? We match dollar-for-dollar up to 6% on eligible 401(k) contributions and sweeten the deal with long-term stock incentives and ESPP.
  • We provide a discretionary quarterly bonus, an extremely flexible wellness benefit, generous PTO, paid holidays and company-wide shutdowns.
