Own and coordinate on-site promotions and events end-to-end, collaborating with Programming, Sales, Digital, and other teams to support advertiser objectives while upholding brand standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, setting up, staffing, and breaking down station promotions, remotes, concerts, appearances, contests, community events, and client activations.
  • Represent the company and its stations professionally when interacting with listeners, advertisers, vendors, talent, community partners, and the public.
  • Prepare event materials, promotional displays, signage, banners, prizes, station vehicles, and equipment, and confirm that all required items are available before each event.
  • Support marketing campaigns across websites, email, mobile applications, social media, and other digital platforms, including drafting and scheduling approved content.
  • Capture event photos and short-form video and organize approved content for station marketing and social media use.
  • Assist with contest administration, prize fulfillment, winner communication, release forms, inventory records, and related documentation in accordance with station rules and applicable law.
  • Maintain accurate promotional calendars, event recaps, prize and merchandise inventory, supply records, and vendor or client information.
  • Coordinate with Programming, Sales, Digital, Engineering, and on-air personnel to support station and advertiser objectives.
  • Safely operate company vehicles and promotional equipment when authorized, and promptly report vehicle, equipment, safety, or event concerns.
  • Follow company policies, event safety procedures, brand standards, FCC requirements, contest rules, and management direction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in marketing, communications, broadcasting, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage several assignments, follow detailed instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling contest information, listener data, client information, and public-facing communications.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality, including availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and schedule changes based on events and business needs.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and insurability under company standards when driving is an assigned job duty.

Preferred

  • College coursework in marketing, communications, broadcasting, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in promotions, events, marketing, customer service, radio, entertainment, or social media is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and basic digital content practices; familiarity with design, photo, or video tools is a plus.
