Job Summary

Owns community outreach and enrollment for PACE programs, building partnerships with local organizations and coordinating with leadership to maximize enrollments and awareness.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conducts targeted outreach and training to community-based organizations
  • Discovers and participates in community events and fairs to build relationships and partnerships with other community organizations, such as food pantries, churches, and others
  • Works collaboratively with the Outreach and Enrollment supervisor to develop outreach strategies and to foster relationships within the community
  • Maintains reports to assess and analyze outreach activities to maximize enrollments
  • Develops rapport and maintains relationships with other departments to bring awareness regarding other services available within the community
  • Provides exceptional customer service to potential participants for our PACE programs and services
  • Prepares written reports and maintain accurate records, including outreach logs
  • Provides program tours, intakes, education, and enrollment assistance to determine participant needs and enrollment eligibility, including in their participants homes, as needed

Requirements

  • High school/GED required
  • Valid CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
  • Two years of customer service experience required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire (must be maintained as a condition of employment)
  • CPR and First Aid certification required for all PACE employees per CMS and DHCS requirements
  • Valid CA DHCS PACE and Medi-Cal Marketing certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to lift/carry 15 lbs
  • Proficiency in providing program tours, intakes, education, and enrollment assistance including in participants homes as needed
  • Appropriate sales and marketing techniques to outreach to diverse social and ethnic groups and to communicate effectively with them and to generate referrals
  • Experience working in healthcare and marketing to underserved populations preferred

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred
  • Strong sales experience highly preferred
  • Experience working in healthcare and marketing to underserved populations preferred
  • CA DHCS PACE and Medi-Cal Marketing certification preferred or must obtain within 60 days of hire
  • Knowledgeable about and experienced with sales and marketing techniques to outreach to diverse social and ethnic groups and to communicate effectively with them and the ability generate referrals
