Job Description

Position Summary

HomeAid Utah is seeking an organized, creative, and resourceful Operations & Communications Manager to support our mission of addressing homelessness across Utah. This role combines operations, communications, project coordination, and community engagement to help move our work forward and share the impact of our partnerships.

Working closely with the Executive Director, this position will help manage priorities, coordinate initiatives, strengthen organizational systems, and tell the stories behind HomeAid Utah’s work. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to a growing mission-driven organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Executive Support
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Executive Director, including managing priorities, communications, meetings, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate board meetings, agendas, materials, minutes, and action items.
  • Support organizational systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Manage special projects and help identify solutions as new opportunities and challenges arise.
Communications & Marketing
  • Manage HomeAid Utah’s social media presence, content calendar, and communications efforts.
  • Capture and share stories through photos, videos, written content, and digital communications.
  • Create engaging content for social media, email campaigns, newsletters, website updates, and print materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners to maintain consistent branding and messaging.
  • Track engagement and identify opportunities to increase awareness and community connection.
Events & Community Engagement
  • Plan and coordinate fundraising events, Care Days, ribbon cuttings, volunteer projects, and community initiatives.
  • Manage event logistics, including vendors, sponsors, registrations, communications, and on-site coordination.
  • Help create meaningful experiences for volunteers, donors, and partners.
  • Represent HomeAid Utah professionally at community events and partner meetings.
Fundraising & Organizational Support
  • Assist with grant research, applications, reporting, and funding initiatives.
  • Support donor communications and stewardship efforts.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and assist with fundraising activities.
  • Provide support for organizational initiatives that advance HomeAid Utah’s goals.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, administration, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in AI optimization
  • Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage both big-picture priorities and day-to-day details.
  • Experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Squarespace, or similar platforms 
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events and travel locally throughout Utah.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Full-time salary position: $75,000–$85,000, depending on experience.
