Job Description
Responsibilities
- Come in each day and record short-form vertical videos on business trends, stories, and local rankings
- Turn a set of scripting ideas into a natural, confident video without leaning on a teleprompter
- Record long-form videos for YouTube as that channel grows, talking through a full topic on camera
- Take quick direction and feedback and adjust your delivery for different pages and formats
- Help us find the voice and format that works as the content grows
Requirements
- Strong on-camera presence: natural, energetic, and credible
- Training or experience in broadcast journalism, communications, or a similar field (recent grads encouraged to apply)
- Comfort turning bullet points into a smooth, engaging video, whether it’s 30 seconds or 15 minutes
- Able to hold an audience over longer formats, not just quick hooks
- Reliable and efficient, able to record a full day’s content
- Experience creating content for social platforms is a plus, whether from a personal channel, a brand, or a student or professional newsroom
- Able to work in-office in Phoenix full-time
Preferred
- Reporter, anchor, or on-air experience, including student broadcast
- Interest in business, entrepreneurship, or local news
- Spanish fluency
