Job Summary

Own community outreach and fundraising messaging in person, with direct responsibility for talk tracks, donor conversations, and documenting results.

  • Represent the nonprofit at events and in public-facing campaigns to drive awareness and support.
  • Engage customers face to face, explain programs, and move conversations toward donations and ongoing involvement.

Job Description

  • Represent our nonprofit partner at community events, retail outreach locations, and public engagement campaigns
  • Engage directly with customers and community members to discuss the nonprofit's mission, programs, and goals
  • Create positive conversations that increase brand awareness and community support
  • Educate customers about the organization's initiatives and the impact of fundraising efforts
  • Encourage customers to support the nonprofit through donations and ongoing involvement
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity and fundraising results
  • Collaborate with fellow Nonprofit Event Representative team members to achieve campaign goals
  • Participate in ongoing training focused on communication, fundraising, and community engagement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable speaking with customers in a face-to-face environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, professional, and goal-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous customer service, retail, fundraising, hospitality, or sales experience is helpful but not required
