Job Description

Own member engagement and community relations for a military-focused credit union, driving onboarding, retention, and partnerships with commands and programs.

  • Responsibilities: Develop and implement programs and promotions to ensure world-class new member onboarding and increase military member engagement, retention, and growth.
  • Responsibilities: Maintain relationships with key members of military commands, related educational and community organizations with the goal of increasing membership, account relationships and developing opportunities.
  • Responsibilities: Deliver credit union presentations and teaches financial literacy programs.
  • Responsibilities: Attend regularly scheduled events on bases or in related communities to include military functions/events/award ceremonies, including occasional after-hours schedules to support relationships.
  • Responsibilities: Recommend, create and implement programs and promotions that partner with military and related community organizations. Make recommendations for sponsorship and business partnership opportunities, including event oversight and participation.
  • Responsibilities: Research, analyze and resolve complaints and problems received from key contacts which affect member service, member accounts, or the credit union’s image.
  • Responsibilities: Provide monthly reports documenting results generated by activities, including budget expenditures.
  • Responsibilities: Function effectively under intense time constraints and structured environment.
  • Responsibilities: Aid Branch Managers with respect to financial education sessions, events, and group liaison activities.
  • Responsibilities: Ensure appropriate updates and/or exchange of information is communicated to management.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related disciplines, plus five years of proven, hands-on experience related to sales, business development or community relations.
  • Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Requirements: Working knowledge of financial industry products, services, and industry trends.
  • Requirements: Outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Requirements: Reliable transportation to various event locations.
  • Requirements: Prior experience working with military preferred.
  • Requirements: Broad understanding of military administration, ongoing operations, etiquette, and protocol.
  • Requirements: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities with little or no advance warning.
  • Requirements: Strong public speaking, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Requirements: Experience of handling public relations with ability to appear on camera or on-air to deliver clear, engaging soundbites.
  • Requirements: A deep-rooted passion for military and community involvement with an existing local network of military, community, and civic contacts preferred.
  • Requirements: Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Requirements: Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
