Job Summary

You will own the membership growth strategy and lead cross-channel campaigns, while building local partnerships and continuously improving data-driven recruitment and retention efforts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Membership Marketing Strategy & Growth (60%)
  • Campaign Planning — Build and refine annual, seasonal, and campaign-specific plans across digital and traditional channels.
  • Membership Value Messaging — Serve as lead communicator, translating organizational goals into measurable recruitment, retention, and average daily attendance strategies.
  • Local Strategy — Partner with Club and Program Leadership to learn each local ecosystem (schools, partners, enrollment needs) and adapt based on data and community feedback.
  • Channel Alignment — Work with Marketing to align website, email, social, paid advertising, creative assets, and collateral.
  • Performance Reviews — Meet regularly with Club, Outcomes & Membership, and Marketing Leadership to review metrics and adjust tactics.
  • Community Engagement & Partnerships (15%)
  • Event Presence — Represent BGCSF at school fairs, community events, and partner meetings to build pipeline relationships with local schools, businesses, and organizations.
  • Information Sessions — Lead sessions and presentations for prospective members, families, and partners.
  • Recruitment Programming — Partner with Club Leadership on recruitment events, member ambassador initiatives, orientation materials, and family engagement resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related work experience
  • Significant experience in recruitment, sales, or integrated marketing campaign execution
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and apply data to distribution plans and strategies
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and prioritize workloads
  • Ability to apply brand guidelines and best practices into innovative tactics
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally to recruitment events as needed
  • Experience in youth development, education, or non-profit sectors
  • Knowledge of or experience working within San Francisco communities
  • Familiarity with Salesforce database systems
