Brief Overview
Job Title: Membership & Community Engagement Manager
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year
Type: Full-Time
Core Responsibilities

• Membership Development: Recruit new members, manage onboarding, handle billing/renewals, and conduct regular check-ins to boost retention.
• Event Planning: Coordinate and execute chamber events, including member mixers, ribbon cuttings, networking hours, and major annual events.
• Community Relations: Act as the primary contact for members and represent the Chamber across local communities.
• Operations & Reporting: Drive the advertisement sales and production of the Harbor Country Guide, manage member databases, and prepare monthly reports for the Board.
  

Key Requirements

• Experience: 3–5+ years in membership services, sales, community relations, or nonprofit/chamber work.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace. Experience with CRM systems (like ChamberMaster), QuickBooks, and WordPress is preferred.
• Ability to work from the main Three Oaks office, New Buffalo satellite office, and attend occasional morning, evening, or weekend events
