The Many

We're The Many, a proudly independent, award-winning ad agency based in Santa Monica with offices in Australia, Canada, and Austin that specializes in participatory marketing—the kind of work that invites people in, gets them playing, co-creating, and building something bigger than ads.Formerly known as Mistress, we've evolved because even agencies need to adapt or die—Darwin would be proud. We bring together creative, strategy, social, digital, design, media, and production to architect transformative brand participation that turns passive audiences into active co-conspirators.From integrated brand experiences and world-record activations to social movements and earned media stunts that give legal departments heart palpitations, we build ideas designed to be played with, not focus-grouped to death. We're not interested in the kind of "disruptive" thinking that considers lukewarm coffee at meetings revolutionary.Named one of Adweek's Fastest Growing Agencies and a three-time Ad Age Small Agency of the Year, we've earned recognition from Cannes, One Show, Clio, D&AD, and beyond. Our superpower? Getting people so engaged with brands that they forget they're being marketed to—like a magician, but instead of pulling rabbits out of hats, we pull genuine human connection out of corporate budgets. We're not just building brands; we're building movements, communities, and the kind of work that makes Monday mornings feel like possibilities instead of prison sentences. Join us in creating meaningful participation that actually matters—because the world has enough “pretty and persuasive" ads and not nearly enough reasons to care.
