Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead integrated marketing strategies aligned with the company’s short- and long-term business priorities, audience or customer needs, market conditions, and growth objectives.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable marketing plans by establishing target audiences, positioning, messaging, channel strategies, KPIs, timelines, budgets, and measurement plans.
  • Maintain accountability for marketing performance and broader business results, including revenue, audience growth, customer acquisition, engagement, retention, brand awareness, and other applicable objectives.
  • Make decisions regarding campaign priorities, channel selection, audience targeting, messaging, resource deployment, timelines, and execution within established authority.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets and forecasts; allocate financial, staffing, agency, vendor, technology, and promotional resources based on business priorities and expected return.
  • Monitor spending, evaluate marketing investments, address budget variances, and manage agency and vendor performance, costs, deliverables, contracts, and timelines.
  • Lead multiple concurrent, integrated marketing campaigns across owned, earned, paid, partner, digital, social, email, print, video, experiential, and emerging channels, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and against established KPIs.
  • Hire, manage, coach, and develop marketing professionals by establishing priorities, assigning work, allocating team resources, providing feedback, and holding employees accountable for performance and results.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, influence business decisions, resolve competing needs, manage risks, and secure support for recommended strategies and investments.
  • Use marketing, audience, customer, financial, and competitive data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, establish reporting standards, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media, and 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including experience leading complex strategies, campaigns, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives; OR 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including experience leading complex strategies, campaigns, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience managing marketing professionals, establishing performance expectations, allocating work, and holding individuals or teams accountable for results.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, marketing investments, vendors, or agency resources.
  • Experience making strategic and operational decisions involving competing priorities, limited resources, financial considerations, and business risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and lead cross-functional initiatives without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including the ability to evaluate performance, understand business implications, and recommend changes to strategy or investment.
  • Experience establishing KPIs and using performance data to optimize campaigns and improve business results.
  • Strong project-management, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in an industry or business environment relevant to the assigned marketing function.
  • Experience managing agencies, consultants, contractors, and complex vendor relationships.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, audience or customer data, project-management, and financial-planning platforms.
  • Experience leading organizational change, process improvement, or marketing-operations initiatives.
  • Experience presenting strategies, budgets, and performance recommendations to executive leadership.
