Job Summary

Own end to end project management for NYRR marketing initiatives with a focus on brand rollout, major race programs, and cross functional delivery.

  • Own plans, timelines, risks, and budgets for brand and 2026 marathon initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Planning & Analytics and Studio to raise PM standards and templates.
  • Align projects to marketing strategy and organizational goals while enabling change management and cross functional teamwork.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and monitor marketing projects and initiatives to ensure maximum impact and efficiency
  • Ensure alignment with marketing strategy, departmental priorities, and organizational goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive successful project execution while maintaining scope and objectives
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and dependencies
  • Develop, maintain, and track project timelines, milestones, and project risks to ensure project stays within scope
  • Lead project management efforts for major marketing initiatives, including:
  • Continued rollout and implementation of the NYRR brand and logo across all races, properties, programs.
  • Key projects supporting the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon and anniversary activities
  • Partner with the Strategy, Planning & Analytics and Studio teams to strengthen project management best practices across the organization
  • Support the development of templates, documentation standards and training materials
  • Build upon and enhance cross-functional collaboration frameworks to improve communication, transparency, and teamwork across the organization
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, including 2–5 years of project management experience, preferably within the marketing and/or nonprofit sectors
  • Knowledge and understanding of sports events, youth sports and activities, and community programs.
  • Solid experience with change management and process improvement projects
  • Experience with project management tools, Monday.com is preferred.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings
  • Operate on a hybrid schedule, with two days per week in the NYRR office in NYC
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
