Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Department Leadership: Develop and implement the annual Rose Bowl Stadium marketing plan in alignment with organizational, brand, event, and revenue objectives. Lead the day to day operations of the Marketing Department, establishing priorities, assignments, deadlines, and standards for execution. Manage and coordinate external vendors, photographers, designers, videographers, and other creative resources as budgeted. Establish and maintain integrated marketing calendar incorporating major events, enterprise events, tours, premium seating, sponsorship, produced events, community initiatives, challenges and opportunities. Proactively identify new marketing opportunities, partnerships, technologies, platforms, and strategies, that strengthen the Rose Bowl Stadium brand and organizational goals.
  • Revenue Support: Manage the sales pages of the RBOC website and social media including but not limited to special events, tours, sponsorship, food and beverage, and premium seating. Manage digital marketing efforts for Produced Events, Enterprise Events, Tours, Sponsorship, Premium Seating, Food & Beverage and Major Events. Develop and oversee strategic marketing campaigns designated to generate leads, increase awareness, support sales conversion, and drive revenue. Establish recurring communication with revenue teams to understand and support sales priorities, upcoming inventory, campaigns, client needs and business opportunities. Oversee the development and maintenance of sales collateral, presentations, proposals, digital assets, website content, email campaigns and other sales materials. Collaborate with CRO in direct sales efforts. Identify funding sources and potential new revenue streams supported by market research, customer insights, industry trends, and campaign performance to identify opportunities for new audiences, programs, partnerships, and revenue streams. Work with CRO and Director of Sales in marketing, planning and executing industry events and showcases both at the Rose Bowl Stadium and at off-site sales events.
  • Digital Marketing, Website & Social Media: Lead the Stadium’s digital marketing strategy across website, email, social media, paid media, search, and other digital channels. Oversee paid digital campaigns, including audience targeting, campaign budgets, creative development, implementation, optimization, and performance reporting. Ensure website information, links, event information, sales pages, and calls to action remain accurate and current. Develop strategies to improve SEO, website traffic, engagement, lead generation and conversion. Coordinate email marketing campaigns and audience segmentation in support of Stadium events and revenue initiatives.
  • Major Event & Event Marketing: Develop and oversee marketing plans supporting major events, produced events, community events and other designated event programs. Coordinate with Event Management, Communications, Premium Seating, Sponsorship, Food and Beverage, Operations, promoters, tenants, and other partners regarding marketing needs and event day deliverables. Ensure appropriate marketing support, photographers, videographers, agencies, or other resources are assigned for event coverage. Oversee timely delivery and organization and event photography, video, social content and other marketing assets. Manage RBOC social media on event day. Work with the Director of Communications on media events. · Coordinate post event marketing recaps and maintain an organized archive of photography, video, campaign materials, and other assets for future sales and marketing use.
  • Analytics, Reporting & Performance: Establish measurable objectives and key performance indicators for marketing initiatives and campaigns. Monitor and report campaign performance, including website traffic, social engagement, email performance, digital advertising, lead generation, conversions and other applicable metrics. Provide recurring marketing updates to the Chief Revenue Officer highlighting completed initiatives, upcoming priorities, campaign performance, outstanding projects, and areas requiring attention. Develop post campaign and post event recaps that document results, key learnings, and recommendations for future initiatives. Maintain appropriate records and reporting necessary to demonstrate the Marketing Department’s contribution to revenue and organizational objectives.
  • Budget & Administration: Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to develop and manage the annual Marketing Department budget. Monitor and manage department expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, budget allocations, and trade agreements. Maintain accurate and timely budget tracking and provide regular updates regarding actual and projected expenditures. Manage relationships with marketing vendors and contractors and ensure deliverables, invoices, and agreements are completed appropriately. Evaluate marketing expenditures and recommend allocation of resources based on organizational priorities and anticipated return. Assist with special projects assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer, CEO or General Manager.
