Job Description

Own forecasting, variance analysis, and close processes for marketing finance with cross-functional partnership.

  • Financial Operations: Monitor and manage marketing expenses against budget.
  • Forecasting: Prepare and update weekly expense forecasts.
  • Forecasting & Variance: Analyze actual results and adjust forecasts as needed.
  • Reporting: Create, maintain, and distribute financial reports using Excel.
  • Close & Journal: Support weekly and monthly financial close activities.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries, including accrued and prepaid expenses.
  • Reconciliations: Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
  • AP Processing: Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Invoice Review & Payables: Review invoices for accuracy, coding, and required approvals
  • Vendor Support & Collaboration: Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies; Partner with the Accounts Payable team to address and resolve invoice-related issues
  • Data & Insight: Maintain the Marketing Finance contract database in Microsoft Lists
  • Cross-functional Support: Partner with marketing, business, and finance teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Variance & Planning: Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results to budget and forecast
  • Planning Support: Support seasonal budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities
  • Reporting & Analyses: Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and analyses
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools, and documentation
  • Attention to detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
  • Attendance & Deadlines: Maintain reliable attendance and consistently meet deadlines
  • Prioritization: Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
