Job Summary

Own the multi-channel communications engine for a growing Ohio statewide org, shaping clear messaging and coordinated delivery across newsletters, website content, social media, and outbound member comms.

  • Lead the messaging framework and cross-channel coordination for audiences including members, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Own content production and distribution calendars across newsletters, website, social, and digital storytelling with a LinkedIn focus.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, timely, and audience-appropriate while avoiding program logistics or core technology ownership.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead communications strategy and execution for OEDA
  • Manage OEDA’s newsletters, website content, social media, digital storytelling, and outbound member communications
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and well-coordinated across channels
  • Coordinate communications across multiple channels and audiences
  • Note: role does not include event logistics, financial administration, or ownership of core technology systems

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement experience
  • At least 1 to 2 years working within an economic development organization
  • Strong writing, graphic design, and video editing capabilities
  • Experience managing digital content, newsletters, and social media, with LinkedIn as the primary platform
  • Comfort coordinating communications across multiple channels and audiences
  • Ohio resident with a proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
