Job Summary

Own the content engine for a mission-driven nonprofit: shape strategy, craft donor- and volunteer-focused narratives, and lead email campaigns to drive fundraising; align content with campaigns across philanthropy and policy while maintaining search-friendly, on-brand content and measuring performance for rapid optimization.

  • Content Strategy & Narrative Ownership: set the content direction, ensure voice consistency, and accelerate fundraising impact.
  • Email & Campaign Ownership: design, execute, and optimize donor-focused emails and multi-channel content to acquire, engage, and retain supporters.
  • Collaboration & Measurement: partner with philanthropy, policy, and research; use data to iterate content and improve results.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support creation and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Craft persuasive narratives that drive growth across business targets (e.g., donors, volunteers, texters).
  • Oversee and develop email marketing donor strategy that drives fundraising by designing, executing and optimizing email campaigns targeted at acquiring, engaging and retaining donors. Write engaging content for marketing campaigns, blogs, articles, videos, social media posts, newsletters, and multimedia assets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments such as philanthropy, public policy and research to align content on campaign strategy and organizational objectives.
  • Integrate optimized content for search engines and user engagement.
  • Monitor content performance, gathering analysis and adjusting strategies based on data insights.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s voice, tone, brand and values.
