Job Summary

Own and coordinate NMTS communications, donor storytelling, and fundraising content across events, media, and digital channels to boost engagement and ongoing support.

  • Own the communications strategy and media storytelling in partnership with the DD and PR consultant.
  • Lead digital presence and fundraising campaigns across website, email, social, and events to grow participation and donations.
  • Tell program impact through donor-focused content captured at classes, events, and partnerships.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • With oversight from the Development Director (DD), lead the creation and execution of a cohesive communications strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee digital marketing media, including website, social media, and monthly newsletter
  • Gather photos and videos to produce engaging media pieces (either yourself or coordinating with other staff or professional photographers/videographers)
  • Work with the DD and PR consultant to develop stories and media opportunities
  • Leverage special events and activities to better tell the story of NMTS
  • Represent the organization at outreach events and public speaking opportunities
  • Promote NMTS programs, classes, and events to increase participation
  • Partner with the DD to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and social media initiatives
  • Take an active role in donor stewardship through storytelling, personalized communications, events, and impact reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., journalism, marketing, communications, business)
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or fundraising (nonprofit experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video editing software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in written communication - strong editing skills
  • Experience in social media management: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Experience in website management
  • Experience creating high quality videos and graphics

  • Nonprofit experience preferred
