Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design marketing materials for print and digital media, including flyers, brochures, social media graphics, and event signage.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms.
  • Create content for newsletters, social media, and the organization's website.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos for storytelling and promotion.
  • Support marketing campaigns with design and creative assets, ensuring a cohesive visual identity.
  • Support planning and execution of organizational events including Festival of Nations, Ubuntu Gala, and donor or partner events.
  • Manage vendor, sponsor, and participant communications.
  • Assist with on-site logistics including setup, volunteer management, signage, and photography.
  • Track and manage event timelines, applications, and invoices.
  • Coordinate post-event follow-up, reporting, and data collection.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing social media and digital marketing platforms.
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate events.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required for events.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires reliable transportation for local travel.

Preferred

  • Video and photography skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, and Constant Contact is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, event management, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination
  • Experience working with multicultural or nonprofit organizations preferred.
