Marketing & Content Assistant

Responsibilities

• Photo & Video Content Capture
• • Capture photos and video at job sites, the Valley Services yard, Transfer Facility, company events, community events, and other designated locations.
• • Capture content highlighting employees, company culture, equipment, vehicles, services, projects, events, and day-to-day operations.
• • Capture content with social media, email marketing, website, recruiting, internal communications, and other marketing uses in mind.
• • Log, tag, organize, and back up content from each shoot within the same workweek.
• • Maintain an organized and searchable digital photo and video library.
• • Follow established Valley Services brand standards and direction from the Marketing Director when capturing content.
• • Coordinate with the Marketing Director regarding upcoming content needs, field opportunities, events, and priority shoots.
• Newsletter & Email Marketing Support
• • Gather and organize photos, company updates, employee highlights, event information, and other content for newsletters and email campaigns.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• Reliable personal transportation and current automobile insurance required.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally between Valley Services facilities, job sites, events, and other assigned locations.
• Mileage for approved business travel will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
• Smartphone with a camera capable of capturing quality photo and video content.
• Comfortable working around trucks, heavy equipment, active job sites, and industrial environments while following all required safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.

Preferred

• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Instagram, TikTok, or similar content creation and social media platforms preferred.
• Photography or videography experience preferred.
• Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras is a plus.
• Coursework, education, or experience in Marketing, Communications, Film, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
