Job Summary

Own storytelling and donor communications to showcase impact, while coordinating multi-channel campaigns that strengthen branding, community partnerships, and fundraising outcomes.

  • Content & Storytelling: Develop compelling program narratives, newsletters, and donor updates that translate outcomes into donor-friendly messages.
  • Campaign & Community Engagement: Support fundraising campaigns, sponsor communications, and social media with analytics-driven improvements.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling stories that highlight Aloha Harvest’s impact across HawaiĘťi
  • Write and distribute newsletters, donor updates, and organizational announcements
  • Draft press releases and support media outreach as needed
  • Maintain consistent organizational voice, messaging, and branding across platforms
  • Manage social media accounts (content creation, scheduling, engagement, analytics)
  • Create digital content including graphics, flyers, and promotional materials
  • Support campaign development for fundraising, awareness, and community engagement
  • Update and maintain website content (basic CMS management)
  • Support donor communication materials such as appeals and impact reports
  • Help translate program outcomes into compelling donor messaging

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms for an organization or brand
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
  • Proficiency with basic design tools (Canva or similar)
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and/or CRM systems

Preferred

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Knowledge of HawaiĘťi communities and local media landscape
  • Experience with donor communications or fundraising support
  • Basic photography or video editing skills
