Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Chamber’s annual marketing and communications plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build campaigns and content that highlight membership benefits, programs, events, advocacy work, and economic development initiatives.
  • Promote Chamber events (luncheons, ribbon cuttings, leadership programs, networking events, etc.) through cohesive marketing plans.
  • Support membership recruitment and retention strategies with targeted messaging and materials.
  • Create and distribute press releases for major Chamber activities, announcements, and initiatives.
  • Maintain relationships with local media and ensure consistent, positive coverage.
  • Respond to press inquiries and manage Chamber’s public image.
  • Ensure the Chamber maintains a strong, positive presence in local news and community conversations.
  • Manage the Chamber’s website, ensuring timely updates, user-friendly navigation, and accurate program/event information.
  • Oversee social media channels with a proactive content strategy that highlights member stories, community initiatives, legislative updates, and Chamber events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or community engagement roles (non-profit or Chamber experience preferred)

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Chamber of Commerce operations, economic development, or membership-based organizations
  • Photography or videography skills a plus
