Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Champion the AMIGOS brand across all digital and print platforms
  • Work closely with our leadership team, programs team, and fundraising staff to surface compelling stories and other content
  • Turn student reflections, host family experiences, and community-led project outcomes into compelling narratives for students, parents, and educators
  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship by tailoring stories for fundraising campaigns, partner communications, and stewardship touchpoints
  • Help develop and execute our org-wide communications calendar, including touchpoints via social media, email, and website content
  • Write and edit high-quality copy, including email campaigns, monthly newsletters, donor communications, and blog content
  • Drive campaign lifecycles from initial concept and creative development through to final performance reporting
  • Support basic design needs, including emails, social media graphics, flyers, and other digital materials
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team, external consultants, and creative partners as needed
  • Craft and manage social media content across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, content, and communications
  • Experience supporting or managing content calendars and workflows
  • Comfortable taking direction and confident offering new, creative ideas
  • A strong storyteller and writer
  • Proactive, thoughtful, and collaborative
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable with organizational change and evolution
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to effectively tailor messaging to our targeted audiences (students, parents, educators, donors, and partners)
  • Experience managing or supporting social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Ortto, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience working in or alongside a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Experience in Latin American travel or community development
  • Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with SEO and AEO/GEO best practices, and how content supports discoverability and long-term visibility
  • Experience translating program outcomes or impact data into compelling stories for donor or public audiences
  • Comfort collaborating with development or fundraising teams on campaigns and appeals
