Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop content for social channels, including writing, photo, and video
  • Create short form content for newsletters and other channels
  • Communicate with youth-serving organizations around Indianapolis and Marion County
  • Assist with website updates through content management system
  • Update database of Central Indiana organizations that provide resources to youth, families, and those who serve them
  • Review, collect, and identify and label marketing assets
  • Research facts and information for content
  • Capture photos and videos of events and programs
  • Work with Director of Marketing and Communications on marketing campaigns and liaising with press
  • Promote youth programs by distributing materials and engaging families, organizations, and others in conversations/activities around youth-related topics

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to tailor a message to various audiences through multiple platforms
  • Ability to converse with diverse groups of adults and children easily
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Familiarity crafting content for social media channels
  • Understanding of website content management systems
  • Comfort taking photos and videos and preparing them for use in communications platforms
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel and Sharepoint)
  • Must have access to transportation for occasional events

  • Wordpress experience preferred
  • Canva experience preferred
