Support Javits Emerging Leaders Program tasks across events, branding, and content in a hands-on internship.

  • Own tasks related to events, content, and research to support program goals.
  • Must-have: enrolled student or recent graduate with strong communication and teamwork.
  • Standout: onsite full-time availability for the duration of the program and project work.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support departmental initiatives and daily operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Participate in all JELP programming and events
  • Contribute to and complete assigned capstone project
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and initiative
  • Create graphics and social content
  • Assist with video editing
  • Monitor engagement metrics
  • Organize digital content library
  • Assist with research regarding panels and speaking engagements

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be available to work full-time onsite at the Javits Center for the duration of the program.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa support now or in the future.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Preferred

  • Preferred major in Marketing or Communications or Public Relations
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe tools
  • Experience with Meltwater, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
