Job Summary

Own the storytelling and social content flow for Girl Scout marketing, combining brand voice with community storytelling and simple engagement reporting.

  • Social and content ownership: draft posts, emails, magazine articles, and website copy aligned to brand voice.
  • Storytelling and community: gather program updates, participant stories, photos, and testimonials to fuel campaigns.
  • Operational cadence: monitor engagement, compile basic performance reports, and juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Draft social media content that aligns with the Girl Scout brand (voice, design, tone, etc.).
  • Draft and/or edit marketing materials, emails, Girl Scout Connections magazine articles and website copy.
  • Assist with storytelling efforts by gathering program updates, participant stories, photos, and testimonials.
  • Monitor social media engagement and compile basic performance reports.
  • Support content creative projects, event promotion and community outreach efforts.
  • Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Physical Abilities: Able to lift 25+ lbs., sit at a computer for three consecutive hours, stand for 2+ hours/day, climb stairs daily.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
  • Valid AZ driver’s license.

Preferred

  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and community impact.
