Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and evaluate an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with fundraising efforts, special events, and organizational announcements.
  • Understand, uphold, and champion all elements of the GPF’s branding style guide.
  • Align messaging with the GPF’s strategic plan to clearly reflect organizational priorities and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external partners to proactively develop and implement a plan to build awareness of GPF’s programs and impact.
  • Lead the creation and direction of company messaging, electronic presence, and publications, including newsletters, media releases, banners, event materials, annual reports, website content, and presentation talking points.
  • Lead the organization's social media presence and digital communications strategy to build awareness, engagement, and community support.
  • Design, review, edit, and approve routine-use materials (donor letters, postcards, flyers, templates, promotional materials) to ensure consistent brand voice and quality.
  • Assist the Executive Director in developing fundraising and donor-facing materials.
  • Review, edit, and approve staff and consultant messaging prior to public release.
  • Manage the organization’s website, verifying content is current, accurate, and mission-aligned.

Requirements

  • One to two years of relevant experience; nonprofit and natural resources experience preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional wriঞng, editing, reading, and listening skills with a creative, storytelling mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to emerging or unforeseen projects
  • Promptly respond to email and external communication requests while maintaining a professional and responsive presence with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented professional who also understands and advances the big-picture mission
  • Proficiency with MailerLite, Adobe, donor CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, or equivalent tools.
  • Experience creating simple flyers, marketing materials, and social media graphics preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to identify and implement marketing opportunities that increase organizational awareness and engagement.
