Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assists Business Development Managers with preparation of materials for business development meetings, pitches, and presentations, including drafting and/or updating of marketing content as needed.
  • Creates correspondence, message templates, experience overviews, customized bio narratives and other content, collaborating with colleagues to format, edit, proofread, print, and compile deliverables to firm standards.
  • Helps director and managers follow up on attorney business plan action items and proactively monitor industry, practice group and client news and developments.
  • Inputs experience into the firm's Experience Management Database, coordinates adding experience to appropriate bios and collateral materials, and helps to create reports highlighting the firm's successes.
  • Proactively maintains news alert platforms and assists attorneys with customizing their news and information alerts.
  • Conducts company and contact research, fulfills competitive intelligence research requests, and helps to summarize report findings.
  • Coordinates preparation of collateral packages and swag items to be sent to client meetings and conferences and for individual attorneys or teams.
  • Assists with CRM database (InTapp) tasks, including adding contacts to correct mailing lists, pulling relationship data, and cataloging touchpoints and client preferences.
  • Supports managers and specialists in tracking pitch and proposal activity, follow-up and outcomes.
  • Works in coordination with business development and events teams to support any business development-related preparation for or follow-up from events.
  • Assists with maintaining certain firm directory listings, such as bar association directories, industry association directories, and competitive intelligence profiles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a similar field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, social media platforms, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and an excellent client service attitude.
  • Ability to think creatively, meet deadlines, stay organized and handle multiple priorities and projects at once.
