Responsibilities

• The Marketing and Admissions Specialist's mission is to build and grow census by developing the market and providing prospective patients/responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance in choosing a nursing home.
• The primary responsibility of the Marketing and Admissions Specialist is to develop relationships with a growing base of referral sources, leading to a consistent flow of quality referrals.

Requirements

• BS degree in marketing or sales with emphasis in healthcare or related field (work experience or field work in social services will be considered in lieu of college degree)
• Be willing to travel overnight occasionally
• Ability to communicate effectively with various types of people, both orally and in written format
• Leadership skills
• Knowledge of admissions/marketing practices and procedures
• Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing admissions / marketing functions in a long-term care facility
• Organization skills
• Ability to review current marketing strategies and use that knowledge to develop new and improved marketing goals independently and insightfully
• Experience in marketing or sales

• Experience in long-term care preferred
