Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategy and execution of retention-focused campaigns across owned, paid, and partner channels (email, push, in-app, paid media, and distributor platforms)
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to uncover insights that inform segmentation, subscriber modeling, and lifecycle strategies
  • Own key workstreams and cross-functional relationships to accelerate experimentation and improve campaign performance
  • Design and run the retention test-and-learn agenda with holdouts as the default, owning the test register and reporting incremental retained subscribers and cost per incremental save
  • Partner with Media Strategy and agency teams on retention media, including audience strategy, flighting, and lift measurement
  • Optimize save-at-cancel flows, win-back programs, and the retention offer ladder across direct-to-consumer and partner platforms (e.g., Amazon Channels, Roku, Apple)
  • Translate leading engagement indicators into cohort-based triggers and programs for at-risk and early-tenure subscribers
  • Build and maintain project plans, briefs, test plans, budgets, and performance reports
  • Track KPIs such as churn, engagement, tenure, and incremental lift to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Stay current on retention marketing trends and tools, bringing fresh ideas to the table

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in retention, lifecycle, CRM, or growth marketing, ideally in a subscription or streaming environment
  • Proficiency in analyzing performance data and translating insights into actionable strategies
  • Hands-on experience designing and reading controlled experiments (A/B tests, holdouts, incrementality); SQL or BI tool proficiency preferred
  • Experience driving retention through third-party distribution partners (e.g., Amazon Channels, Roku, MVPDs) strongly preferred
  • Experience with retention-focused paid media, including audience activation and lift measurement, preferred
  • Understanding of the marketing tech stack, including tools like Braze, mParticle, LiveRamp, marketing and product dashboards, etc.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, process, budgets and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong communicator with a team-first attitude and curiosity to test, learn, and iterate
  • Strong attention to detail
