Manager of Marketing and Community Outreach - Health and Human Services Org

Responsibilities

• Build and run an annual marketing and outreach plan for both sites, with clear goals for new patients and service use
• Find and close new community partnerships with schools, shelters, faith groups, senior centers, housing developments and local businesses
• Plan and staff health fairs, screenings, enrollment drives and tabling events, and put the health center at neighborhood events it isn’t attending today
• Run paid and organic advertising across social media, local and Spanish-language media, transit, print and digital channels
• Write and produce flyers, posts, videos and patient-facing materials in plain language, in English and Spanish
• Promote specific services (dental, behavioral health, HIV prevention, pediatrics and others) based on capacity and community need
• Track what works: referrals, new patient sources, event turnout and campaign results, and report them to leadership
• Manage the marketing budget, vendors and any outreach staff or volunteers
• Keep the website, Google Business profiles and social channels current and active

Requirements

• 4+ years in marketing, community outreach or community engagement
• A track record of building community relationships that turned into real referrals, events or partnerships
• Hands-on experience running social media and paid digital campaigns, including the results
• Comfort working in the field, including evenings and weekends for events
• Strong writing skills and an eye for simple, clear design

Preferred

• Knowledge of the Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods the health center serves
• Social Media Skills
