Job Summary

Support the literary management process by handling coverage and notes, coordinating submissions and project tracking, and keeping managers organized across virtual meetings and day-to-day communications – with exposure to Bonfire Cinema development activities.

  • Coverage & notes: read scripts and client materials, draft first-pass pitch copy and submissions.
  • Submission & project flow: track submissions, follow-ups, and maintain clear files for managers and clients.
  • Collaboration & coordination: take meeting notes, coordinate via Discord and tools, and assist with day-to-day workflows and Bonfire Cinema projects.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Read scripts, books, and client materials (coverage + notes)
  • Draft pitch copy and submission materials (first-pass)
  • Assist with project tracking, submissions, and follow-ups
  • Attend virtual meetings and take notes
  • Support day-to-day manager workflow and communication
  • Coordinate via Discord and digital tools
  • Assist, when needed, with projects connected to Bonfire Cinema (Film/TV development)
  • If candidate is in LA may attend meetings on behalf of Manager or with client if needed.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in becoming a Literary Manager
  • Experience with coverage, notes, or script analysis
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable in fast-moving creative environments
  • Proficient in Discord, Mac/PC, and Microsoft Office
  • Discreet, professional, and proactive

Preferred

  • Based in Los Angeles or Florida or planning to relocate
  • Previous internship or entry-level experience at an agency or management company
