Job Summary

Own churn reduction, LTV optimization, and retention decisioning for a multi-product video portfolio by turning data into cash flow and cross-functional action.

  • Retention Strategy Ownership: Build and socialize data-driven strategies that lower churn and raise profitability across products.
  • Analytics & Ops: Lead financial modeling, cross-team data coordination, and AI/ML initiatives to ID churn risk and optimize spend.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Join our Retention Strategy team as a Principal Strategy Analyst focused on driving customer loyalty and lifetime value for the SLING and DISH Video Services portfolio.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, coordinate new data and insights, develop decision-driving financial models, and partner cross-functionally to execute strategies you design.
  • Design and execute strategies that reduce churn, improve profitability, and elevate the customer experience in a dynamic content ecosystem.
  • Use data insights to evaluate trends, develop solutions, and implement initiatives that boost loyalty.
  • Build and maintain financial models to project performance, inform strategic decisions, and maximize profitability with Finance.
  • Lead key product initiatives from concept to execution with cross-functional alignment to drive measurable results.
  • Support AI/ML driven initiatives to identify churn risk, optimize spend, and enhance operations.
  • Act as an internal consultant, translating complex data into actionable leadership-ready insights for VPs and SVPs.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Operations to design retention strategies that drive measurable impact.
  • Use SQL, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, and Excel to build dynamic reports and consult on data-driven business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business-related field (required)
  • 8-12 years of experience in analytics, finance, or strategy, preferably in subscription-based or customer-focused industries
  • Advanced in SQL, Tableau, and Excel for analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and forecasting for business decision-making
  • Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
